Havering Fabian Society was formed in 1974 by members of Hornchurch, Romford and Upminster Labour Parties. The Society exists to promote debate, discussion and political education for those within and outside the Labour Party at both a local and national level.
Members come from a variety of backgrounds, and include a number of current and former Havering Councillors.
The Society meets on a monthly basis at a variety of venues throughout the Borough, including Friends Meeting House in Gidea Park, The Royal Rainham, Fairkytes Hornchurch, Saffron House Romford, CEME Rainham and Harold Hill Community Centre.
Meetings are open to anyone to attend – you don’t need to be a member.
